Thank you @winebroad & @SevenFiftyDaily for the interview! Wine is a 9,000 year old industry and isn't going anywhere but companies that refuse or fail to court a new generation of consumers don't stand a chance.

New bar concept; no phones allowed in the bar. You put them in a locker at the entrance (there will be chargers). If you want to check your phone stand outside on the sidewalk. Ban phones in bars like we banned smoking.

This is not the way to build the metaverse. It feels like the early days of TV. Radio shows were just adapted but the power of the visual medium was not utilized. Or the 1990s when literal "phone books" with every Internet URL were sold in bookstores.

Guilty or not this feels a lot like Martha Stewart. If men do it, maybe a slap on the wrist. If women do it, "lock her up!" This is not justice. This is old men punishing a woman for their own failures.

Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, now awaits sentencing after being found guilty of four of 11 charges of fraud on Monday. Each count of wire fraud carries up to 20 years in prison, and Holmes can appeal the conviction, her sentence or both.

Wineries: Add ingredients to your wine labels. Be detailed and honest. Just don't tell me how many calories, that's too honest.

Hey @wirecutter Great article on wine clubs, private and white label wines but you absolutely miscategorized @lasjaraswines. I was at the winery while they were making their wines this year. This is not a private label. Negociant, maybe? There is a BIG BIG difference.

Words I will still not be able to spell correctly after writing them 1,000 times in my 150,000 word book; Mediterranean, Gewürztraminer, Mourvedre, and for whatever reason, barrel. I'm just giving up on that last one.

The sheer quantity of incorrect information about wine that exists, both in print and online, is staggering.

Rosé wine's pop culture appeal has nothing to do with wine. It's about lifestyle and empowering female consumers.
