Fun Fact: This is still built in to macOS. It’s just hidden unless you have a DVD in, which most people never will as no currently supported Macs still have built-in DVD drives.
what’s the appeal of putting buttons on the side of TV remotes? Apple put the Siri button on the side of the Apple TV remote and Roku did volume buttons. why?

AGREED. I’ve always had my notifications hidden behind an unlock and it’s so much nicer just being able to glance at my phone for that rather than touch the button.

i'm officially transitioning to DaVinci Resolve for any future videos. even though i'm pretty familiar with iMovie, DaVinci is so much more powerful even for free.

That’s awesome having a mom that does video editing. The most intensive thing I’ve seen my mom do on her almost maxed out 15” Pro (2015) is Excel.
Semi-successful repair on this iPad 9 completed. I cheaped out on the glass ($20 on Amazon) and it doesn’t work right but it’s better than before (last pic).
Apple discontinued the final iPod two years ago to the day. The iPod is one of my favorite product lines ever, and I still use one pretty frequently.
Long live the iPod.

Imo a hole punch cutout and the Dynamic Island/notch have the same effect. Content can’t go up there anyway so it’s about an equal amount of screen taken up.
The Rabbit r1 is a great piece of hardware unfortunately pinned down by abysmal software. It’s completely pointless if you have a modern smartphone. Can’t recommend, personally.
