I started shooting my next Youtube video today and realized I didn't identify with the wild beard anymore.
New platform, new hair, new face, new life.
MrPuckett 2.0
I've started to get recognized a little bit more when I'm walking my dogs around Nashville. "HEY MRPUCKETT" and every person that recognizes has basically done the same thing
No pictures, no fandom -
Everyone wants to show me a picture of their dog.
This is heaven.
I started my own subreddit
A place to post and browse all the things I used to do on Imgur. 20 wholesome things, dog gifs, Supply Drives, fundraisers and even TheFreePizzaDude.
I'd love it if you stopped by and joined.
He's been in the shelter longer than any other animal in Nashville, so today I took him out for a run.
This is the story of Tramp The Shelter Dog at
@nashvillehumane
I realize it's gotten heavy with these tweets for a few days, and I apologize.
Feeling all alone in the situation is just as bad as the situation itself
I promise to return to regularly scheduled wholesome tweeting soon, and offer my dog pictures as a token of my appreciation
I'm not really sure what the future of TheFreePizzaDude is, but it will live on in one place or another
Today I hopped on and ran the post and we got out 91 meals and 4 full grocery orders in 8 hours
Felt nice to do something familiar again.
I get woken up every single night & it's the most amazing thing
My puppy stands on my chest and swats at the blanket until I wake up, just so I can lift up the blanket and let him cuddle.
I didn't know how I'd take care of a puppy, now I don't know how I ever lived without him
This weekend my dogs and I were dropped off at a cottage in the middle of nowhere
It's been great to get away.
I started a youtube channel and shot the first video at the cottage about a current charitable project we finished
1st video drops tomorrow!
We don't have many family pictures, but we were lucky enough to get a couple shots at a friend's house last night.
This is my entire world, these are The Pucketts.
Tomorrow marks 3 years man, THREE WHOLE YEARS!!!
3 years of sobriety, 3 years off the street, 3 years without a drink or drug controlling my every move. To celebrate, my best friends took us out for hiking and pizza.
Thank you all for being a part of my journey, I love you.
Today would've been MrPuckett the dog's 16th birthday - the 1st birthday he's not here for
He's what I fought for through all my addictions & rock bottoms, it's a shame he's not here now to see us stable
Do me a favor today -
Hug your pets just a little bit longer than usual.
Today I was interviewed for a news story they're doing on TheFreePizzaDude!
I realized how weird it is trying to explain the internet in real life, but it went pretty good. The project is even coming to Twitter soon enough.
I'll let you know when the story airs!
The end of an era.
After 188 series posts on another website, it's time to start a new era.
For the first time ever -->
Here are 20 wholesome things, you deserve them, on Reddit
Have a beautiful day everyone.
From barely standing to 3 short walks a day, from terrified of the stroller to loving it, from bumping into everything to figuring out the layout of my studio
Celebrating every inch of progress on day 4 with 15 year old Nanna Puckett
We moved to Nashville today!
Someone from
@imgur
hauled my stuff, another Imgurian helped me unpack.
When I got here there were a dozen boxes waiting for me. A bed, funiture, kitchen supplies...EVERYTHING.
From Pizza Angels on Imgur.
It's only appropriate that today was our biggest post in history.
Today we sent a record 138 meals and 5 grocery orders all over the world.
Final tally -
4,089 meals
240 grocery orders
A beautiful way to say goodbye.
A picture of the day I met MrPuckett Jr
He had no idea of all the amazing times ahead of him.
Just like you.
If you're struggling now, it's all temporary. Don't throw away a future of amazing days because today isn't one of them.
All good things in time and love.
Today I posted my first ever video for my new Youtube channel. It's about a charitable project I've been working on all year.
I would love it if you stopped by to support and say hello -
Twitter - I would like you to meet someone very special.
This is Nannoo. Blind, deaf and arthritic at age 15. She's currently at
@nashvillehumane
, but hopefully not for long.
Today I put in an application to take her home and give her the best remaining time humanly possible.
My hospice dog has come so far in so many areas of life in the six weeks that she's been home with us
My favorite thing that she's progressed in is her new ability to take a perfect selfie ❤️
I wanted to let everyone know I that am alright in Nashville, and thank you for so many calls and messages
The explosion was less than a mile from my studio, and while it woke us all up and terrified the dogs, there are no damages or injuries over here.
I stay home quite a bit.
I love to run with my dogs, but besides that I find the most comfort at home after not having one for so long
Today I went out to interview strangers in Nashville about happiness for a new video
Everyone I talked to was so kind, it went great!
Today is my 5 year addiction recovery anniversary.
5 years out of shelters, 5 years without a drink or drug controlling my every move, and 5 years of slowly learning to love myself again.
Thank you all so much for always being here for me and my dogs.
I just heard back from the director of
@nashvillehumane
about the 15 year old blind & deaf dog they're taking care of
NANNOO IM COMING BABY ILL BE THERE AT 2PM TOMORROW EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OK YOU'RE GOING TO BE A PUCKETT AND HAVE THE BEST REMAINING LIFE EVER

Even though it feels like everything has changed in a very short time frame, I still get to the thing I love most in the world -->
Run my dogs all over Nashville, Tennessee
I finally realized how many people I have in my life, how many people support me in the worst and best of times.
Now I finally have something to be grateful for --> every one of you that have been there for me.
Happy Thanksgiving, I love you, and thank you.
- The Pucketts
The first 3 were Ford Bridge, Hennepin Ave Bridge and the Irene Hixon Whitney Bridge
She loves doing this so much, if anyone in the Twin Cities has recommendations on where Nanna can feel the breeze I'm all ears!
How did I ever wake up without this face in my face
Week 9 with the hospice dog has been going great. Faster walks, more smiles and snuggles - she is doing a little better each and every week
I may not have much time left with this hospice dog, but I promised her I would show her as many experiences as possible
Tonight she went to her first ever baseball game and she had a blast
Today is MrsPuckett's birthday \(°o°)/
Adopted and surrendered multiple times, I found her in a shelter at age 4 just a couple hours after Mr Puckett died.
She saved me that day.
All week The Pucketts have basically just ignored our new 15 year old dog
On her 7th day home she found the strength to jump on the bed for the first time and was finally accepted
All day and night on
@imgur
has been a flood of posts about my dog. It has been so beautiful.
This one, especially, made me realize how many people share in this loss with me.
14 years ago today I met and adopted a scruffy little best friend and named him MrPuckett.
He was there for it all - every sky rise condo and homeless shelter, every new city and addiction.
I miss my little buddy, but I know he'd be proud about how far I've come.
Emotional day celebrating the 3 year anniversary of when I got sober. For 17 years of addiction I was convinced that a day like today wasn't possible.
Here is a 10 minute video with some highlights of my journey. I am filled with love and hope today.
Hate has no home in Nashville.
By now many of you have seen the despicable products sold by a place called
#hatwrks
in my city. This brought to light a pattern of behavior by the store's owner to advertise and profit off hateful and extremist ideologies.
This morning my puppy PJ had his longest run yet. Full grown at 13lbs, we've been slowly adding miles as the vet allows us.
Today PJ ran his first ever 10k.
Very proud of my little dude today. I think he's officially a dog now, and no longer a puppy ❤️
Today I am incredibly honored to accept the 3rd annual Champion of Hope Award in Nashville.
The award goes to "a member of the community who has made a significant effort to support the lives of domestic violence survivors facing homelessness"
Nanna gets monthly vet checkups at
@nashvillehumane
and today was her first one
Everyone was super excited to see her again and they were all impressed by how well she is doing! Great day for the hospice dog, walking better every week
Sometimes something so good happens that it doesn't feel real for a while.
But today it finally feels real 😭
I accepted a job as the Community Resource Coordinator at Nashville Humane!!!!
Waaaaaaiiiit a minute
You mean anytime I want endless pictures of pets...all I have to do is ask?
I think we just found a new Saturday tradition, I love you guys
This is Nanna!
Nanna has a condition called Canine Dysfunctional Behavior, sometimes referred to as Canine Autism.
Here's what it's like taking care of her, a thread 👇
Me in
2019 - I don't think I could handle two dogs
2020 - 2 dogs isn't so bad but I could never have a third
2022 - 4 dogs barely fit on my bed I gotta stop
2026 - my farm with 478 dogs is a place of peace
Taking my 18 year old blind dog to every bridge in Minnesota so she can feel the breeze on her face -
Now on
@MPRnews
!
@samstroozas
wrote about Nanna's recovery and adventures, check out the article and radio spot below it's absolutely beautiful
I just got a DM from someone on
@imgur
who works at a Nashville animal shelter.
They said this amazing creature, who looks a lot like MrPuckett did at that age, is waiting to be adopted.
GUYS WHAT DO I DO HES SO DARN CUTE
The news story and article are live!
Come check out my story as TheFreePizzaDude as told by the amazing
@Hannah_NC5
I can't wait for my mom to see this she is going to flip out
Just now realizing there is a separate DM folder for "message requests" and I had 200 messages waiting
Stressful at first, but then they were all sweet messages of support when I left imgur and really nice to read
Trying to catch up, apologies for the 2 month delay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The last couple months I've been waking up at 3am for my job, and working weekends
I accepted a really awesome promotion this week. Significant raise, 9-5 Mon-Fri desk job - I've been really stoked.
My friend took us out for dinner to celebrate! All good things in Nashville
My hospice dog did 2 amazing things this weekend
- Walked her fastest mile in 29 minutes (used to take 68 minutes!)
- Had a great checkup at
@nashvillehumane
& is seeing progress with some health issues they've been treating
8 months in her new home & doing better every week!
First the sculpture, and now another amazing artist sent me these
This is the best day ever, they wouldn't even let me pay for the work
Show em some love on Instagram!
Minneapolis and St Paul have much better pedestrian infrastructure than Nashville, it's like running on a cloud here it's amazing.
Really falling in love with running my dogs again, so many new places to see on safe sidewalks, greenways and trails
Appreciate everyone who stopped by to catch my first video yesterday! I haven't been that nervous in a long time.
6,000 views and a whole bunch of nice comments later, it feels pretty good to still have so many supportive people in my life.
Today I posted my first ever video for my new Youtube channel. It's about a charitable project I've been working on all year.

Today is MrsPuckett's 6th birthday!
I found her in a shelter just a few hours after MrPuckett passed away. She saved me that day, and she's done amazing things in the year and a half that she's been home
For the next six weeks I'm cat-sitting for
@BacklineNurse
and having a blast so far
It took Shelley a little while to open up to me, and the dogs were hella confused, but all is well on the animal farm today
Meet the two new members of the Puckett Pack - Luna and Shelley!
MY LITTLE DOG PUCKETT JR RAN HIS FIRST HALF MARATHON TODAY!!!!!!
I thought this would take him years to do but he has been incredible. All business today - no squirrel chasing, no distractions, never slowed down
We've been training for this since October -
13 pounds, 13 miles!
Hi everyone, I'm TheFreePizzaDude
After sending over 4,000 meals on another website, now it's time to take it to Twitter.
This page will be used for the scheduling, planning, and sending of pizza and food all over the world.
1st Pizza Day coming soon!
15 year old Nanna Puckett spent last night at the Humane Association. She's fine, but holy cow I missed her so much after only 4 days together
I think she missed me too, because this is the first picture I took after she got home today ❤️
I don't think I've ever been so excited to tweet something in my entire life...
Everyone - BLANCO FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! HE DID IT!! HES GOING HOME!!!!!!!
Thank you so much
@nashvillehumane
and
@WoodyandJimShow
BLANCO. IS. GOING. HOME.
\(°o°)/\(°o°)/\(°o°)/
My hospice dog had her monthly vet visit yesterday at Nashville Humane! Everyone was excited to see her again and the vet said that she looks amazing - clean bill of health!
3 months with Nanna so far and each month better than the last
It's been a tough week in the MrPuckett household. Is it even the MrPuckett household anymore? My place is filled with his stuff, all of the artwork of him.
Tomorrow we move to Nashville, me and my new friend, in search of a better life.
She's been a big help.
I mentioned to some friends on Discord that I was feeling like I was in a rut and needed a change. They drove an hour to pick me up, brought me to their amazing home for a long weekend and even cooked every meal for me.
It was a beautiful time, lucky to have love in my life.
Nanna, the 15 year old blind dog I adopted from
@nashvillehumane
, has been doing amazing
Not a ton has changed since the last update - she's still walking great, cuddling a little more, and getting along with the other two as long as their tails aren't hitting her in the face
