There was a tree near Sarjapura Rd, Firestation uturn, standing alone, for years providing unwanted shade and oxygen.
One day it was removed to deliver swift justice for vehicles. Now they can speed for 40m more. Service road ends there.

Car culture and sprawl feels like a lazy and sterilized way to live day to day.

Metro is super crowded in peak hours! Last mile connectivity is required both for buses and metro. Footpaths are very bad or non existent. I walked 25 minutes in puddles to reach home.

This is a design problem, not an enforcement issue. A car should not be able to climb on a footpath and park on it. It's a safety hazard for pedestrians and cyclists.
Such things cannot be enforced in a city that has 1.1cr private vehicles.

That's coz the roads and cars are designed to enable this behaviour. We leave exercising restraint to the individual behind the wheel who cd be negligent or genuinely in trouble and losing control.
