Australia’s cheapest petrol car (Mirage, Picanto etc) is about $15k (plus onroads). It’s costs about $1,500 a year in petrol to run (15,000kms, 5ltrs per 100, $2 a litre).
The cheapest EV is about $45k (plus onroads).
