Jet engines and giant American flag on a hangar wall. No part of aviation, including the maintenance, is not cool.

Action produces information. When things are two way doors in particular, action is always the answer.
One of my favorite lessons I’ve learnt from working with smart people: Action produces information. If you’re unsure of what to do, just do anything, even if it’s the wrong thing. This will give you information about what you should actually be doing. Sounds simple on the

In defense, aviation, and much of industrials substance wins over the narrative-driven approach that dominates on the coasts.
I can’t overstate how badly the exaggerated sales pitch that works on Silicon Valley VCs goes over with defense acquisition leaders around the world. Trust is harder to build than rockets or drones or satellites.

The only cure for all anxiety or worry is action. Great advice here for this Sunday evening;
A reminder that if you have the Sunday Scaries, the best relief is a little work. Action deletes worry. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Don’t worry. Not because it’s not merited, but because it’s pointless. Instead, take action.

Most insightful thread you will read today:
In 5 years from now, probably 95% of the tokens used by AI agents will be used on tasks that humans never did before. I just met with about 30 enterprises across 2 days and a dinner, and some of the most interesting use-cases that keep coming up for AI agents are on bringing

This is the aim, the goal, and the purpose of freedom of speech; the rights of all to express but also the rights of all others to debate, critique, and/or support:
The beauty of the first amendment is it guarantees freedom of speech. And one of the most beautiful things about freedom of speech, is that people with really good ideas and really bad ideas put them out there into the public sphere, where they are debated and critiqued. But

Listen to him. Do it now:
Every application company should test if their products can run end to end on ChatGPT Atlas (or Comet or Director) TODAY.. It may not work and you might be inclined on thinking this “agentic” browser is bad. And yes, it’s the worst it’ll ever be and future models will improve.

Transformative for the entire country. No other economic development has benefits so well distributed across so many geographic & demographic profiles on top of the macro benefits provided to all under the broader umbrella of national, economic, and geopolitical security.

Reliable, low-ego, consistent, and of high quality & character. It really is that simple.
The real “unfair advantage” isn’t talent, it’s trust. People want to work with those who are reliable, low-ego, and consistent. Being grounded, honest, and drama-free will bring you more opportunities than sheer talent. Work twice as hard on your character as you do your craft.

Happy Rosh Hashanah to all my Jewish friends out there, especially those currently deployed with the IDF or other branches of the Israeli military. May you have a sweet and prosperous New Year.

AI slop has ruined written communication on one hand but has empowered entirely new ways of working/executing on the other. We may finally be back at the “a lot less talk and a lot more action” stage of business.

I’m sad to have lost a friend, but also beyond outraged. I want to FIGHT back. Now is not the time for violence: Charlie wouldn’t have wanted that. But it’s time to stand up for our principles. Let’s purge corrupt radical-left nonsense, and take back our country. Progressive

Read the whole thread. Courage is so undervalued and so rare, and then when it does appear and the winds change, we completely forget how hard it was to be courageous in the first place. If there’s one lesson I carry with me from investing, it’s this: when you see real courage,
People were terrified to be publicly critical on this issue. It had the biggest gap I've ever seen between public and private opinion. That gap was maintained by the fear of a vicious backlash from activists for saying anything even mildly critical. Nor was that fear unfounded.
