people in healthy long-term relationships don’t feel a romantic spark every minute. what they share instead is safety, grounding, friendship, love, care, understanding, and a steady choice to be together through it all.
It’s like most relationships have an expiry date and the romantic spark almost always dwindles. You either grow apart or evolve into a solid friendship. This is why I see really long term relationships as a compounding interest of shared history and nothing more.
