As we reflect on how in the name of education crimes were committed. I challenge everyone to not call them ‘schools’ but institutions with a dark purpose. Bring the TRC calls to action honour The Two Row Wampum. FNMI children and families need first world conditions to heal.

My condolences to the family, friends and bandmates of Neil Peart of the legendary band Rush - all of the members of which I was pleased to present with the Key to the City. As a member of one of our most iconic bands, Neil will be very much missed.
