Something about this reminds me of sans soda that year.

Sometimes the L doesn’t come from lack of discipline or effort. Sometimes… it’s just other random stuff like today’s spicy rice. 😂. We go again another day!.

Disappointment comes in many forms. Today’s version hit hard because I wanted it so bad. My energy was high. My legs were ready. Mentally, I was locked in. But my stomach had other plans.

I managed to push through another 400m and had to slow down again. It became a cycle of run, suffer, walk, recover and repeat. By the time I got to 2K, I was almost in tears. Not from effort but from frustration.

The relief was almost immediate. The pain eased and I thought I had escaped the pain. So I started running again. Man I was wrong! . That’s when my stomach basically sat me down and said, “I will deal with you.” 😩. This time, the pain was almost double.
