There is some good stuff in the @meathcoco @MeathClimate development plan from 2013-2019 that should be included too. Like the cycle path through the Norman Pratt Park:

The proposed cycle network for the town would be a massive step forward but there are gaps in the network we would like to see addressed.

The #BoyneGreenway could even re-use the path of the old canal from Newtown Trim towards Navan, protecting biodiversity along the riverbank. Thanks to @NavanCycling for all their work on the Trim stretch of the greenway. Learn more here:

Sadly, the plan for a cycle path along the Boyne from Navan to Trim and out to the Royal Canal Greenway didn't make it into the NTA's plan. We hope they change their mind. Trim has a lot to offer tourists. Imagine tourists from Dublin, Galway or further staying in @TrimTourismN

There need to be alternatives put in place. so people of all ages 👵🏻👩‍👦👧🏾. and abilities 👨🏾‍🦽👩🏿‍🦯🦮. have the option to cycle, walk, run or roll 🚶🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️👨🏼‍🦽. for everyday trips into town 🍻☕️👩🏻‍⚕️👨🏼‍💼🛒.

Sadly, there is nothing in the cycle plan for people living in rural areas despite the NTA highlighting how people in rural areas are.🚗More dependent on private cars .📈More vulnerable to fuel price hikes.🤷🏻‍♂️More at risk of isolation.💸 Less able to meet basic transport needs

In particular - there should be a segregated cycle paths from Trim as far as. ⚽️@TrimCelticAFC's Tully Park on Summerhill Road.🏐@MeathGAA's Centre of excellence at Dunganny.👩🏼‍💼Scurlogstown Business Park on Dublin Road

9,000 people live in Trim town but another 11,000 live within cycling distance. That's why we propose all roads leading to Trim have segregated cycle paths (blue) from Dunderry, Robinstown, Kiltale, Summerhill, Rathmolyon, Ballivor, Boardsmill, Kildalkey & Athboy 1
