👀🛗‼️ Keep an eye out for some major transit improvements coming in 2026 and beyond thanks to congestion relief—including elevators to make subway stations more accessible! https://t.co/lNUiKgoSbj

At long last, funds from congestion pricing and a new approach have given the MTA’s efforts a major lift.

The new Borough Hall 4/5 station elevators are up & running! Big win for our community as we move closer to a transit system that works for all who depend on accessible travel. The MTA is continuing station repairs over the next few months & I will keep you updated.

Neighborhoods like Hunts Point, near ports and distribution hubs, have some of the highest asthma rates in the nation. Our new billboard campaign is raising the alarm: warehouse growth cannot come at the cost of the air people breathe! Learn more: https://t.co/nSFo6GG6rQ

🎁 While mega e-commerce warehouses are delivering more packages, they’re wrapping our neighborhoods with clouds of pollution. Let’s make sure that clean air is on everyone’s wishlist and hold big corporations accountable! #CleanDeliveries Click here: https://t.co/jeOyOUDdyT

🚨 Victory this week! Together with the Stop the Cross Bronx Expansion coalition, we stopped the $900M plan to build an elevated roadway over the Bronx River. 💪 This project would have worsened air and water pollution, flooding, and harmed thousands of local families.

Less traffic means smoother commutes in NYC—even for car-owners. With congestion relief, driving in NYC means thriving in NYC.

NEW: The NY State Dept. of Transportation announced that it would not build a "traffic diversion" structure — essentially a highway expansion, according to critics — when it repairs an elevated section of the Cross Bronx Expressway.

Route 17 is a $1.4 billion boondoggle that would have saved drivers 2 minutes tops. We hope that NYSDOT will continue to hear from Catskills residents and invest that money into rail/transit corridors that will increase transportation options to the region.
A controversial highway expansion in the Hudson Valley has been delayed after pushback from transportation planners and environmentalists, who argued that it isn’t necessary and would harm the local environment. https://t.co/CYClxtWdOU

As e-commerce warehouses proliferate, we're giving regulators the tools they need to keep communities safe. Just as we enacted the nation leading CLCPA, my Clean Deliveries Act with @marcelaforny will keep major polluters like Amazon in check

🚶🏽♀️🏢 This week, we walked Red Hook streets packed with mega warehouses and vehicular traffic, where ~10k NYCHA residents live amid diesel fumes. Warehouses need to be better neighbors and protect public health around their facilities. NY must pass the #CleanDeliveriesAct! ⚡️

🚛 Wed, Oct 1 @ 11 A.M. in Red Hook, we’re relaunching the #CleanDeliveriesAct! Across New York, families are living with higher asthma rates and dirty air from warehouse truck traffic. With federal climate protections being rolled back, this is the moment for New York to act ✊
