What a great thought. The editorial/reviewer comments I have received on my PhD papers about live animal surgical training are wild - diverse and passionate opinions mean that getting my research out in the world has been a slog!.
Don’t forget: the hardest #MedEd articles to get published are your best articles and your worst articles. It’s obvious why the worst articles are hard to published: they’re just bad. But the best articles are hard to get published because often times you’re saying something

Very interesting to see how different surgeons code their cases. Bravo on getting this work out in the world @HugoCohen8 @RosieSimson @richbamford81 .#NoTrainingTodayNoSurgeonsTomorrow.
Thrilled to get our project on the (lack of) consensus for supervision coding in general surgery over the line and published. Started in 2022 with @RosieSimson , took 4 journals, lots of redrafting and finally accepted in July last year, now online

Another PhD publication in @JSurgEduc - this time using bibliometrics to explore the scientific literature about live tissue training. We produced a visual map of the data interpretation in collaboration with @will_s_t which deserves a look!.

Thanks to Will for his graphic design brain for converting my complex Excel data spreadsheet into this beautiful data map! #surgicaleducation #AcademicChatter.
My new graphic, showing several metrics on papers about live tissue training. It was about 4 days work, and I’m always interested in similar commissions. I likely have some availability in the coming months. Dev talk in:. Paper:
