I just got a like-for-like quote from @Lemonade_Inc . For my FSD Tesla Model 3 LR 2022, it is twice what State Farm is offering. If lemonade offers the $0 FSD rate, it might be attractive.

For the record your honor, I not against LiDAR as a technology. It has quite a vast range of useful cases. Self driving is NOT one of those cases. Mapping, distance calculations for space craft, Archaeology, Construction, etc…

This could be nothing of note though. Waymo experimenting with different technologies is just logical. Let’s wait to see is they put vision only cars on their road for testing.
