A public inquiry into plans to build a goldmine in Co Tyrone has been suspended because the Department for Infrastructure 'failed' to follow their own legislation & didn't notify the Irish Gov over 'transboundary' issues. The Commissioner said it was 'deeply regrettable'. #UTV

INQUIRY SUSPENDED! In adjourning the Inquiry the Commissioner acknowledged that the process has been 'beseiged with difficulties" including @deptinfra "failure to follow its own legislative procedures." Provisional Mid-Inquiry date 26th March. @greencastle5 @GreencastlePS

Great morning with activists from about ten groups under the @CAIM_network at @farnhamestate protesting the @IMQS_IE golf day and €125 dinner. The message to IMQS & all potential investors is loudly that mining is a toxic industry, not wanted anywhere on this island.

… In a theatrical set-piece at the Moy Park chicken factory gates, the activists appeared to vomit green sludge, highlighting the health hazards of blue-green algae and the ecological devastation of Ireland’s lakes and rivers.
