Senior Deputy Christopher Korzilius was killed this morning in a traffic collision. Our hearts are broken. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date. Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
Thank you, Matthew & Camila McConaughey and Bill & Tracey Marshall for donating hundreds of masks to protect our deputies, corrections officers and inmates!

Today we retired K9 Steele. He faithfully served Travis County for 7 years. He aided in missing person searches and served on both patrol and SWAT. He will happily be living his retirement years in the home of his first TCSO handler. We're gonna miss him!
Our deputies are leaving message rocks in neighborhood parks, hiking trails and other public places throughout Travis County. If you find one, take a selfie and tag us, then leave it in a spot where someone else can discover it. Let's spread goodness!

last Saturday! We're so glad they have forever homes and that we were able to be a part of getting them ready.
We offer our deepest sympathies to our colleagues and friends at APD for their tragic loss. We extend hope and prayers for a speedy recovery to the injured officer and hold both families in our hearts.
Today, these fine men and women graduated from our Basic Peace Officers Course and were sworn in as deputies. And there was one more surprise; a marriage proposal! Congratulations, BPOC 23!
Los Angeles County Reserve Deputy (and the Hulk!) Lou Ferrigno stopped by today on his way to Comic Con to say hello and offer encouragement and thanks. How cool is that?! Sheriff Hernandez swore him in as an honorary TCSO Deputy!

It's bittersweet news that today we announce the official retirement of TCSO Corrections K9 Reya. The sweet part is that she has officially been adopted by a member of the TCSO K9 Unit family!

Here's a shout out to all the administrators, teachers, students, parents, bus drivers, school resource officers (SROs) and anyone else we missed who just finished their first week back at school. Yea! You did it!
We have many "legacy" employees here at TCSO. As we celebrate Father's Day, here are just a few of our legacies with their dads, both retired and still on duty. Thank you, dads. We hope you have a great day!
These little cuties just graduated from their resident training/socialization in our jail. They're available for adoption TODAY

Travis County, we love you! You heard of our need for masks and you're taking care of us. Thank you to all the men and women out there who sewed masks and brought them to us.
How about some good news to start the week? We just found out Luna was found and reunited with her mom yesterday! From the message we got: "She was hungry, tired and a little banged up but happy to be home!"
This beautiful girl named Luna jumped out of the window of her owner's car after a rollover collision yesterday morning. It happened on FM 969 near Cadillac Dr. She was last seen wearing a collar and leash. Can you help us find her?
Honored to be with my friend,
