A year ago today, 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin was attacked & killed after leaving home in the morning to go to school. His family described him as a wonderful child who was well loved & hard working. Marcus Arduini Monzo, 36 has been charged with his murder. RIP Daniel Anjorin🙏🏾

So sad to hear that the lovely Tony Slattery has passed away. Not only was he a talent of quick wit & improv, but he came across as such a kind & sincere man too who was open about his struggles. I'll always remember him for moments like this. RIP x

If a handful of people donated £10, one of our expert caseworkers could provide ongoing support to help a woman escape abuse. Your donations help survivors find safety. https://t.co/j85crPeIwh *ONS and https://t.co/SwRcRb2sG2, 2021 – 2022. TW: Distressing Scenes

The media must do better when it comes to reporting on violence against women & girls and femicide. Survivors, victims & their families deserve more. Women’s Aid is thinking of Harshita's family, who will be grieving her tragic loss, & join them in centring her as an individual.

"If you're only thinking about working with women at the point at which they're sent to prison, you're starting too late. Real solutions are earlier upstream, where change needs to happen." Lucy Russell, Head of Policy & Public Affairs via @BBCNews https://t.co/13l3vW6ngY

Every woman and girl has the right to feel safe everywhere. Femicide can and must be prevented. Every country must invest in prevention, enforce laws, and combat impunity. Let's demand a world free from fear. #EndViolenceAgainstWomen @unwomenturkiye

Dame Anne Owers - women need to be a greater priority in the criminal justice system, to do this the Women’s Justice Board needs teeth to make changes. We can learn from the Youth Justice Board who have diverted young people into community alternatives @WIP_live @BBCWomansHour

Women are held in prison are often held in prison as a place of safety for their mental health. At @WIP_live we know this isn’t a safe place for women. Self harm is so acute and so troubling we need to look at alternatives to custody. Lily Blundel, Women in Prison @BBCWomansHour
