Blazers Uprise has officially hit 10,000 subscribers!
So much work went into building this platform. I never thought I'd ever speak to a camera or microphone and find success with it, but here we are! I'm extremely grateful for everyone who's been a part of it! 🙏
Joe Cronin traded Damian Lillard to the East and paired him with Giannis.
Now he holds the antidote - One of the few guys who can guard Dame in Jrue Holiday.
Should be able to create an epic bidding war and get back a lot for Jrue Holiday. He makes sense for so many teams.
Damian Lillard’s ‘dream scenario’ in Portland is for them to re-sign Jerami Grant and sign Draymond Green, per
@sam_amick
Can this Big 3 make some noise? 👀
Portland is 45-27.
Oklahoma City is 43-30.
Paul George has another superstar on his team, Damian Lillard does not.
Damian Lillard is a better MVP candidate than Paul George.
The Trail Blazers are waiving forward Trendon Watford, sources tell ESPN. Watford, 22, had two productive seasons with Portland and joins the free agent market with some upside value for teams.
Watching Dame cook in Milwaukee is like watching your ex who you ended on good terms with be happy with someone else. You're happy for them but also sad for yourself.🤣
Portland haul for Damian Lillard:
2024 GSW 1st
2029 BOS 1st
2029 MIL 1st
2028 Right to Swap w/ MIL
2030 Right to Swap w/ MIL
Malcolm Brogdon
Robert Williams
Miami fans that think the Blazers owe Damian Lillard to the Heat for next to nothing are starting to get annoying. Miami can piece together a package that should get the deal done. It's on them if they don't. It's not on Portland to willingly get fleeced.
I believe Portland has made headway with Miami on a deal, but is hoping for Toronto to cave and give up Scottie Barnes at the last minute. Theres numerous reports about Torontos interest, but Dame doesn't want to play there. Meanwhile his camp says Toronto talk is a smoke screen.
If I’m the Miami Heat, I have the power to give you wtv tf i want, your superstar don’t wanna be there so you getting
Miami Heat gets: Damian Lillard
Blazers get: Jaquez Jr, Duncan or Lowry or both, all our picks we have and if you want highsmith
That’s it
Disregarding the possibility that Joe Cronin has told Dame he'd trade him where he wants if he ever wanted out - Cronin did his best to push Damian Lillard to the point where he demands a trade, and then has done absolutely nothing. I don't think that should impress anyone.
I wonder if the Blazers could trade for Embiid and keep Sharpe...
The Blazers and 76ers could agree to a trade that'd go through on July 1st that could be Simons, Nurkic, 2023 NYK 1st, 2023 POR 1st, 2026 POR 1st (Unprotected 2024 1st to CHI), 2028 POR 1st, 2030 POR 1st.
Maps had no assets this offseason and they've done more to get Luka help than Cronin ever did for Dame when Cronin had the 3rd and 7th picks and could've opened up future 1sts.
I'm done with the excuses for the complete failure to execute a plan as GM.
The Mavericks are acquiring Celtics restricted free agent Grant Williams on a four-year, $54 million deal via sign-and-trade, per sources. WME Sports’ Bill Duffy and Erik Kabe completed the new contract for Williams.
Anthony Edwards voted Josh Hart as the best player in training camp
“I’d say Josh Hart. He’s just always consistent, you know he’s going to bring that energy every day.”

Lets revisit this:
Portland is now 48-27 (3rd). They've won 6 straight, all without McCollum, and 2 straight without C.J. Nurkic.
OKC is now 44-32 (8th), healthy, yet losing ground on Portland.
Damian Lillard is now an even better MVP candidate than Paul George.
Portland is 45-27.
Oklahoma City is 43-30.

The "Trade Dame" crowd overestimates the success of rebuilds, as they more often end without a Finals birth. Here's eams that had a top 5 pick and failed to reach an NBA Finals since 2010. (I saved some of the best for last).
"Lillard then said if a deal couldn't be worked out with the Heat, he would prefer to rescind his trade request and return to the Trail Blazers.
Cronin's response to the seven-time All-Star was that there was no coming back."
Devin Booker on Jusuf Nurkic: "He is a beast. He can playmake. His IQ for a big is off the charts.”
If Book calling this dude a beast it should be a sign to others..
Nurkic is gonna be a huge part to our ring hunt. I’m backing this dude 100%.
This is where I ended up on All-NBA:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexader
Luka Doncic
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Jayson Tatum
Nikola Jokic
Donovan Mitchell
Stephen Curry
Jaylen Brown
Jimmy Butler
Joel Embiid
De'Aaron Fox
Anthony Edwards
Lauri Markkanen
Julius Randle
Domantas Sabonis
Jusuf Nurkic is
#1
in the league for screen assists and
#1
in the
deflections for centers despite only playing 25mpg and is shooting a career high 57.5% from two.
It's sad that there's a lot of casuals hating on him.
The fact the Jrue Holiday has 0 fouls and Zion Williamson has 3 times as many free throws as Damian Lillard is ridiculous. Dame's been mugged all game, Zion is creating all the contact, but the NBA is gonna screw Dame over.
If the Blazers flip Keon Johnson/NAW only for Jerami Grant, this deadline is a B-.
If the Blazers flip the NOP 1st for Jerami Grant, this deadline is a D+
If the Blazers flip the NOP 1st AND Keon Johnson for Jerami Grant, this deadline is an F-.
After sitting the final 18 minutes of Nuggets loss, Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has lost faith in Steve Kerr and no longer believes that Kerr will allow him to reach his full potential, sources say.

Yes, Olshey failed. Much in the same way that Cronin failed. Yes Olshey was here for longer, but Cronin was here long enough to get something done and didn't. In fact, you could make the argument that Cronin had better assets in the 3rd & 7th picks than Olshey ever had.
Simons, Nurkic, and future 1sts for Zach Lavine would be one of the worst trades in NBA history. Simons is in par with LaVine statistically and he's younger, cheaper, and less injury prone. Wouldn't swap Ant for LaVine straight up.
A few dozen new players can be traded now that the calendar has turned to Jan. 15, and there are 3 in particular the Trail Blazers need to take a closer look at
You're telling me that with how close GP2 is with that Warriors team, he didn't tell players on that squad about this situation or it didn't filter up to Warriors management?
The whole Blazers locker room seems against GP2. I'm not coming to conclusions.
Assuming Portland re-signs Matisse Thybulle for $6M starting salary, Rayan Rupert to the rookie minimum, and fills out their roster with minimum signings...
They could hypothetically trade Simons, Little, and Knox for up to ~$35M in salary and duck the tax (S&T or otherwise).
Billups said he didn't put Scoot back in because of being unsure what Scoot might or might not do. Said they had a chance to win the game and felt it better Scoot was off
#RipCity
But yet, it's impossible to build a winner around this guy according to a lot of Blazer fans. While somehow it's more feasible to build a winner around Scoot? I love Scoot but Dame is an extremely high bar to reach. I don't get it.
Dame Lillard’s 60-piece this past January might’ve been even more impressive than the 71 he put up one month later. He shot 12/14 on twos, 9/15 from three, and 9/10 at the line for a true shooting percentage of 89.8%, making it the most efficient 60+ point game in NBA history.
TOR Gets: Top 4 Pick (POR), Bledsoe, Louzada, Brown III
DET Gets: K. Johnson, Winslow, 2025 MIL 1st
POR Gets: Pascal Siakam, Jeremy Grant (TPE)
Could even substitute Nas in for Louzada & Brown if need be.
Lillard / Simons
Simons / Hart
Grant / Ingles
Siakam / Grant
Nurkic / MLE
Derrick Jones Jr. opting out DOES NOT clear cap space for us. We're too far over. Saving those "pennies" doesn't do anything for us.
As Blazer fans, we want Derrick Jones Jr. to opt-in. That's $10M in salary we could use to match in trades that we otherwise wouldn't have.
Nets fans overrate Mikal as much as any fanbase Ive ever seen overrate a player. They act like he's a superstar & scoff at the idea that a
#1
pick caliber prospect is fair value for him.
They also think they can get an actual superstar in Damian Lillard for Ben Simmons. Comical!
I was a sophomore in high school telling my friends that this guard from Weber State was going to be the truth. Then the
@mikerice6
interview happened and I was sold on the person. When David Stern walked to the podium, I was crossing my fingers: "Please, Damian Lillard" ...
