Over 30 guests enjoyed their fix of cricket on what should have been Day5 of Perth Test. John Traicos who played for both SA in 1969/70 in their great winning side v Aus, then again, in 1992 for Zim in India. Richards, Bacher Pollock (x2) Lance Barlow Lindsay were all in the XI

Not seen them for 43 years from our days at MCCYCs at @HomeOfCricket in early 80s With Michael Veletta & Peter Capes. Michael played for WA & Australia whilst Peter opened the bowling at @WACA_Cricket for 10 years. Both Aussies were fine & successful cricketers Special reunion!

With sadly no cricket available, I found a cricketer who came & met us in our Westin Hotel. Huge thx to David Boon, the Aussie Ledge, who came & spoke to the group about his life in the game from playing, in Administration. What a lovely chat! Thx David!
So an unexpected day (ok, 3!) around Perth for some sightseeing. Invited my @TheBarmyArmy Group up on the free 935 to terrific King's Park to view their impressive State Memorial to the fallen Anzacs & a walk thro Botanical Gardens. Making an extra plan for a special guest!

Certainly cooler in Perth today. A few of my @TheBarmyArmy guests caught the Red Cat Free Bus to Matagarup Bridge (their 'Wembley Way') to the @OptusStadium . Bumped into the ledge @FinShwaa for a photo! Enjoyed a photo with Peter & Liz before play with their terrific shirts!

It’s now England’s shortest innings under the Brendon McCullum/Ben Stokes leadership. 32.5overs! But boy, did the bowlers fight. Possibly, the best i've seen an England bowling unit bowl, the 5 were magnificent:heart, guts & 'bit between the teeth'. @TheBarmyArmy too! #AusvEng

So the Skipper, Stokes, on his 1st run out for what seems ages, gets 4 all in the right column but all are caught from clearly, injudicious strokes🤔 from the Batters Awkward news is Wood is off with his Hammy after 8ov - precuationary scan will occur. Carse is a bit ill too.

Probably the final Grass cut of 2025. Cleared up all the leaves too for Leaf Mould, for a year's time. It's been a dry Spring & Summer here in the East. Vegetable beds now put to sleep! #loveyourgarden
