College is still valuable if you can:. You learn how to do stuff (not just about stuff). Build a network/make connections. Expose that network to the stuff you learned to do (ideally by doing it for them). Great place to do all 3. Has to be all 3. And none of the above comes.

You’ll rarely hear me say that an industry is “cooked” because of AI. But a friend recently spent 22k to have “experts” make him a fundraising deck. The deck looked ok. but the content was ASININE. A far superior deck could be compiled with $40 worth of AI subscriptions. I.

Used to work with an Owner’s Rep. Quality of work was bad, but they knew the owner. 10 years ago he was begging for jobs. Now, his signs are everywhere, fully booked up. “I’m not taking new projects”. I refuse to believe we’re approaching recession till he’s asking for work.

The highest value of USPS is in providing instructions on how to send mail. Felt like a moron for asking an 80 YO lady which box to pick and where to put the sticker. Then the next guy in line puts an envelope on the table: “…How do I do this?”. We can’t trust AI to navigate.
