🦠Our metabolomics study confirmed the dynamic metabolic changes in tissues after the bloodmeal, with the fat body playing a central role. Our study also detected an insect-specific virus, highlighting the power of scRNAseq in understanding virus-mosquito interactions.

🧬Using scRNAseq, we revealed how a bloodmeal orchestrates physiological changes crucial for digestion, metabolism, immunity, and reproduction. We identified diverse cell populations, including enterocytes, trophocytes, hemocytes, and an undescribed fat body-yolk cell population.
