“That would leave California in the 2026 midterm election as the biggest cheater of them all.” — Sacramento Bee columnist Tom Philp Prop. 50 was supposed to be a response to Texas. So why did #CALeg Democrats delete the clause that tied it to Texas?

A supersonic jet plane designed to make very little noise took flight for the first time this week, in what some say could be the first step toward much faster commercial travel.

If CalPERS is confident enough to invest, it shouldn’t hide behind the PRA. When taxpayer dollars are on the line - transparency isn’t optional. The public deserves to see every penny.
My latest: California’s main public pension fund, CalPERS, poured $468M into “clean” energy private equity, losing 71% (with taxpayers on the hook) while fund managers earned at least $22M. Due to anti-transparency laws, we can't really know how the money was lost 🧵👇

Made right here in Aerospace Valley. The first flight of the @NASA X‑59 is a win for Palmdale, Lancaster and all of AV. Thanks to the Skunk Works team. We’re keeping the future of flight alive in our backyard. #X59 #AerospaceValley
The X-59 has completed its first flight! 🎉✈️ A new era of supersonic flight begins with Skunk Works® and @NASA.

Heartbroken by the tragic loss of Deputy Andrew Nuñez, who was killed in the line of duty. My prayers are with his wife, young daughter, and family. His courage and dedication to protecting others will never be forgotten.
BREAKING NEWS: A San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy, who was shot in the head while responding to a domestic violence call in Rancho Cucamonga, has died, Sheriff Shannon Dicus said. The slain deputy, identified as Andrew Nuñez, leaves behind a wife and 2-year-old daughter.

I’ve seen a lot in my years with CHP. This is pathetic. The Marines said there was no risk. Governor Newsom shut down the freeway anyway. Not for safety. For spotlight. Bridgegate déjà vu. Only this time, Gavin’s playing the role of a svelte Chris Christie.
Newscum is lying. He closed the highway — not only did nobody at the White House or the Marines ask him to do so, the Marines repeatedly said there are no public safety concerns with today’s exercises. Newscum lies and tries to make it about himself? Day ending in ‘y’

Gavin BURNS Firefighters! Just months after the devastating LA fires, the Governor vetoed a raise for the same heroes who risked everything to protect our communities.

Sadly, people of faith are increasingly being targeted by violence. As a culture we need to not only rally support to the loved ones devastated by this violence, but do all we can to denounce such hurt. https://t.co/h3tjOXcM1G

Gavin Newsom doesn’t want Prop 36 to work. If he did, he’d fund it. Instead, he gave counties a fraction of what’s needed and walked away. He’s not the one stuck trying to make this broken system function. He’s not a sheriff dealing with repeat offenders. He’s not a county
NEW: @CAGovernor Gavin Newsom just announced the state is awarding a new round of funding — $127 million — to local governments to support their implementation of substance abuse treatment and mental health service efforts, including for Prop 36. This builds on California’s

I'm shocked.
The Department of Homeland Security announced on Monday that it will not comply with a new California law, which bans most law enforcement officers, including federal immigration agents, from wearing face coverings while conducting official business. https://t.co/7c0BOvJlaC

This is a bait-and-switch ploy. They claim a federal target but end up punishing our local law enforcement! If our men and women in uniform don’t deserve qualified immunity, then no one should. Don’t strip the protections officers need to do their jobs.
“We do not have statutory control over our federal officers, folks. I know you’d love to have that, but run for Congress. We do not have control over our federal law enforcement.” - @TomLackey36

Honoring the courage and sacrifice of San Bernardino County Firefighter Cory Norton, who gave his life in the line of duty. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fellow firefighters. Your service will never be forgotten.
This week marked the passing of our brother Cory Norton to job related cancer. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

24 years later, the memory of 9/11 still unites us in grief, and gratitude. We honor the victims, first responders, and all who sacrificed. We will never forget.

“Qualified immunity must continue. And if it does not continue, we are going to see so much tragedy,” @TomLackey36 on SB 627, a bill that strips away the protections officers rely on to do their jobs and keep communities safe.
