Stop getting the police involved for people saying mean things on the minor stages at Glastonbury! The prime minister doesn't need to get involved either! Jesus Christ

this thread is pretty depressing. *Surely* if you kill someone while driving recklessly, the VERY LEAST the state should impose is a permanent driving ban? Sure, some of them will ignore it, but that's a separate problem, and driving isn't a human right!.

Firas Zeineddine was speeding at 90mph during a storm. He caused a car pile-up on the M4 which killed a mother and daughter. After a year in prison, he’ll be allowed back on the road after just 18 months. Why is he being allowed to drive at all?

Pete and @ShuhBillSkee are two of the most sensible and well-informed voices on digital tech and wellbeing and their new podcast is great - strongly recommend it for worried parents trying to navigate a world of kids, screens and social media.

possibly I'm being uncharitable but I never trust thinkers who I think aim for obscurantism rather than clarity, and that is the impression I have always got from him.

I wonder how much of the mystique of Curtis Yarvin as this sort of dangerous rebel intellectual comes from all his stuff being ten million words long and completely impenetrable. My impression is that, when people actually read it, it all turns out to be a tissue of garbage.

.@curtis_yarvin Shoudl take the L, publicly apologize for wandering into an area where he knows so little and spouting off so confidently, and move on.
