My mum's life is slowly ebbing away, no appetite, no real desire for liquids, won't open her mouth for medication, it's almost like she's saying..it's time for me to go. She's always been there for us, been there for everyone. This is so much harder than I thought.

I love my country, love being British, but hate the honours system. How these two have not received the highest honour this country could bestow for all their funds raising efforts and highlighting MND is beyond me. They have simply touched our hearts and souls, the very best.

I accidentally deleted a post I created earlier! Anyway I just wanted to say....never ever underestimate the power of words & the effect they have on others. I retired yesterday & after 17 yrs in one primary sch the messages/cards & tributes I received were truly truly humbling.

@llewelyn20 That has happened to me this week. I work as a supply teacher in one school & I announced my retirement, I'll be leaving in July. The messages I received floored me. I truly had no idea what impact I've had on my colleagues and pupils, cue floods of tears. Schools are amazing.

I think Chris Mc hit the nail on the head when he said that Paul Gascoigne's drink problem had been exacerbated by the friendship groups he was involved in, basically enablers. Loved their friendship in the dark. #ScaredOfTheDark

Really surprised how much I've got into this programme over the four nights.......their vulnerabilities showing through and how much I've liked the friendships building up too. Paul Gascoigne has many issues in his life, but he's done himself proud. #ScaredOfTheDark

The fact I'm on my tablet whilst watching this opening episode shows I'm not really invested in this drama. I love Adrian Dunbar, but it's just not pulling me in at the moment, however I'm going to stick with it. #Ridley

Guaranteed tear jerker. Something about watching our emergency services handling calls and being despatched to life changing events that puts all this political mullarkey playing out on our screens every night into perspective. These guys really are changing lives. #ambulance
