It is so pleasing to see people with sense on this app yes. Unfortunately many dont understand love of service or country so they wouldnt be able to comprehend the sacrifice. That sh*t dont pay nearly enough for the work or mentalities ya have to deal with honest to God!
@_fivefootfun She could easily make more money as attorney. Especially for that level of stress

If you walk into someone's establishment, and the prices dont suit your pockets, walk back out. Dont fret about the cost, dont fret about how much profit you think the owner is making. It is your right to spend your money where you are happy so WALK OUT!

When youโre in a position to help someone, be glad and do it. Because thatโs God answering someoneโs prayer through you.

For completeness, let me just add that these people have significant responsibilities. With that in mind, I have no issue with the salaries that they get. Especially when you take career and/or level of seniority into account, many of them are actually taking pay cuts to serve

@InMyLilCorna My hot take is that this is the most important ministry. A lot of the issues we have in government is cause the public service at large is no longer fit for purpose. We need to get better talent in there and have them develop 2026 skills and not the current outdated ones lol

Productive & respectful because someone took the time to care! From the ones who have parents who need parenting to the ones who just send their kids to get lil freedom to the ones who send them for development....all require someone who took the time to give back without gain.
@Ren_isRen You do know you just proved his point right? Being a 'villager' within a community is more than personal benefit. Ultimately it benefits society as a whole when those very youths become productive members of society through programs such as Scouts

AND sit behind a screen criticizing before they get up and put in said work to make a difference!
People are lazy. Everybody wants the outcomes but nobody wants to do the work. Everybody want the community but nobody wants to be a villager. Nobody want to plant the corn but everybody want to raid de barn

It's not just not voting... people aren't participating in society or governance... PTA meetings, Civil society groups... none of it... I'm not arguing the source, I'm pointing out the outcomes... it becomes a cycle which reinforces itself and issues will get worse...

Not just boy, the girls too. We used to be a country that people happily volunteered to assist with programs whether scouts or brownies, church youth groups, music groups etc. Those pple got old and the new 25-55 just๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ. Right now there are more fetes than programs bout here.
I was gonna say something but people having fun being morally superior and throwing around words like oligarchy and dictatorship... if only many of you men actually cared about your country as much as you claim to and gave of yourself in service and volunteered or mentored boys

But you cant put your name on the special voter's envelope or people will know who you voted for so how would you then allocate the vote to the respective candidate's count?
I feel if you weren't on the list but of age & have Bajan identification documents, your info should have been taken; you vote Party & in a special box in case when the dust settles your vote needs to be transferred to another constituency/station Reconciliation aint neffin new

This is not our first toss with a party winning multiple consecutive victories. Owen Arthur won 4 times and Barbados was very alright in his time. Like I said, if you were following Bajan politics, you would not need to ask the questions or make the statements you made.
@_fivefootfun I defer to those who live in the reality To live in it is to know it.

The people lost 92 straight constituencies (the general and two bi-elections). This is very embarrassing...for THEM. Overhaul the party including its constitution and start fresh yuh
