Not a popular opinion but I have been very concerned about recreational use of any drug, intent is important and really hope labelling does at least occur as too many think it is natural so it is safe and abuse use to detrimental long term effects.
I think marijuana is the most insidious of drugs. It is legal in many states, is socially acceptable to many and is relatively easy for kids to hide, access and consume (vape, gummies etc). But the science is beginning to tell a very ugly story. We should have never legalized

We are seeing a live case study underway in San Francisco. Under Progressive leadership the jail population fell, crime surged, businesses shut, and people left. Now we have Moderates back in charge. All trends are reversing!
In 2019, the jail population began to drop because of criminal justice reform. Then covid happens, and it drops more. Predictably, crime, drug dealing, and overdose deaths explode. Now, the jail population is up, property crime is down 45%, and OD deaths down 20%. 🤔 🧵
