Do I know anyone with access to the article "Reconstruindo uma história esquecida: origem e expansão das favelas no Rio de Janeiro" in Espaço & Debates (1994)? Would love a pdf!

Note that there's a tight application deadline, 31 October. And sadly the position is only open for candidates with the right to work in the UK, i.e. the university is unable to sponsor international candidates for a visa.

My review of @mateojarquin 's impressive The Sandinista Revolution now out with the @LAReviewofBooks How crucial is diplomacy to the history of revolutions? The book suggests to me it's more crucial at some times than others - but you can't ignore it.

There's still lines and phrases I can't make out, but the gist of this case is clear enough. We're in Santa Fe (Bogotá), it is 1563. Luisa, an 'india ladina', demands back wages for 15 years of servicio from Juan de Montalvo: a total of 300 pesos 'de buen oro'.
