I worked with @JimCameron a few years ago on a project. I thought I knew a lot about writing but getting a peek inside that twelve-story brain made me realize I didn't know shit. It was a masterclass in technique, foreshadowing, exposition and structure in particular. A while --
This is a very funny story, and gets to a real truth-- Cameron is an absolute master at doling out massive amounts of exposition without the audience noticing because he's treating it as drama. There are a million screenwriting lessons to learn from The Terminator, Aliens, & T2.
