Hard not to feel that Grangetown is a neglected community - there are so many issues alongside this that need action: 🛑 state of our streets/ ridiculous levels of flytipping 🛑 speeding/ dangerous driving 🛑 neglect of our parks e.g. Grangemoor 🛑 drug-dealing/ car crime
Getting on for six *years* since poor #access at #Grangetown station was highlighted. 2yrs since outline plans for a lift were being "looked at". Still steep steps to get to a platform for pushchairs, ♿ and OAPs. No crossing to even get to the entrance https://t.co/zH9MMN9RgX

Fascinating talk by Ray Noyes of @GLHS1 tonight on The Surprising History of Grangetown. Did you know most Grangetown streets are named after: - Investors e.g. Clive St (Clive of India) - Plymouth estates e.g. Avondale Road - St Fagan’s estate farms e.g. Stockland St?
