Worth remembering: Palestinians had to actually NEGOTIATE an end to the Genocide... Think about that for a second. It's disgusting & will haunt us for decades. Every aspect of intl. law. and it's purported protections, failed the Palestinian people. Where does that leave us?

I often call attention to the first statement in the Integrity Commission Act regarding its purpose. It says the Act is designed to promote "ETHICAL PRACTICES " in government, ETHICAL.

On what basis can police justifiably tamper with CCTV cameras? And then there is the lousy excuse of forgetting to turn on their own BWCs. Something stinks here. INDECOM warns police against tampering with CCTV systems https://t.co/NctS3ciYUL via @jamaicagleaner

So, we come back to the foundations of faith: God will do what God will do, when and where and how, but you and I must do our part. We must work at ending what we deem to be evil and promote what is good. Thus, my faith is relevant to all aspects of life.

So what is needed are institutions led by people with alternative convictions and courage, who will push back against those institutions that practice heinous crimes and evil. We must stand up, TOGETHER, against genocide, human trafficking, and other ills

One of the ways in which my faith has come to terms with the genocide in Gaza; the humanitarian crisis in Sudan; and the centuries of slavery is to reckon that these are carried out by institutions, not individuals. Thus God removing one leader cannot bring an end to it.

@ThompsonCanute My belief system was awakened from reading about the atrocities of the Slave Trade in High School & role the Christian Church played - I rebelled going to Church Blacklisted by my family & Choose African Spiritualism instead - I'm stronger for it today AsΓ© π₯

My faith must come to terms with the fact that for 300 yrs, the church was part of the most inhumane act perpetrated by one group of people against another. Netanyahu and the USA are supported by many people of the Christian faith. That, too, does not make sense to me

I reject the notion that Israel is more special than any other nation, and I reject the view that God sanctions what Netanyahu is doing. But I must confront the question, "Where is God?" But as I begin to challenge my faith, I am led to consider that for 300 years, we had slavery

Some of u may know that I am Christian, though untraditional as I draw richly from other faiths, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. I have been challenging my preacher colleagues to tell me how their sermons make sense to the suffering people of Palestine. I am challenging myself similarly

Jeffery Sachs, a well-respected global scholar, expresses dismay at what cud lead America to be behind Netanyahu in his acts of genocide. Is it that many American businesses are owned by Jews? Is it about who heads major gov institutions, but even so, how do you support genocide?

Making sense of the exclusion of Palestine from the UNGA with those who voted to deny it a voice seeing nothing wrong with listening to a man who is committing genocide and is the subject of an arrest warrant, is occupying the minds of many It simply does not make sense.
