All dreps, if I wrote a constitution that removed minCC changes from being a parameter requiring 3 month deliberation next week would you act fast enough to enact it and a followup reducing Min CC size to 3 before Atlantic resigns? If I get 10k likes, I'll do it.

“The system is just people, pretending it’s not made of people.” That line always sticks with me, especially when we are called to vote. No matter how decentralized we get, people still make the difference. Vote: https://t.co/RZVw0WGwOB Show up. Cos you are the system.
Committee Elections voting is now open! Members can cast their votes to decide who will serve on Intersect’s seven standing committees and help guide the next phase of Intersect's journey! 📅 Voting closes Nov 7, 12 PM UTC ✅ Vote now: https://t.co/G5MGvOFLmm 🔍 Learn more:

You have my vote Jack. But only if you promise to work on writing shorter posts. The new ED will already be hired by the time I finish reading.
I’ve had a few messages over the past couple of weeks asking whether I’m staying at Intersect and applying for the permanent Executive Director position. I’ve kept away from the details to give other candidates space and to respect the process, but now that applications have

Personally I don't think it’s excessive - it’s a fair estimate for the cost of ensuring an independent, accountable, and well-functioning CC.

For comparison, within Intersect committees: Committee chairs are eligible for rewards up to 1,000 ada/month Voting members up to 500 ada/month. So this proposal is in a very similar range - but accounts for the administrative cost as well as compensation.

Divide that among 6 Tingvard members = about $9,166 each for the year. That’s roughly $764/month - paid in ada.

Now, the math: At the time of the budget submission, ada was around $0.65. So, 200,000 ada ≈ $130,000. After the estimated $20,000 in operational costs, that leaves $110,000.

Those are just estimates and realistic examples, but they give a picture of the actual costs behind operating independently and responsibly as a CC.

Here’s a rough breakdown (based on experience with ICC and real cost in Norway): $2,000 → registering as a legal entity $5,000 → yearly accounting $3,000 → security hardware (~$500 per member) $10,000 → travel for committee-related events (1–2 per year)

Tingvard has 6 members who will share this amount. But before anything is split, there are real administrative costs tied to being a Constitutional Committee (CC) member that needs to be covered first.
