Forward thinking and relationship focused. This is is the future that will make real difference to societies most undeserved children. Those who statutory interventions just dont work for. Thisnis the #shiftdifference we in YJ Mc'r are aspiring for... onwards and upwards!
Powerful gathering last week that brought the SHiFT difference to life - or as @ThomasDLang put it this morning, ‘got under the bonnet’ of practice that breaks cycles of crime. Huge thanks to @DCSManchester @GM_VRU for your ongoing support. So proud of work we’re doing together.

It’s children’s mental health week, last week @mycthehive spoke passionately about mental health and article 24 of the UNCRC. We have now publicly launched our priorities for our child friendly ambition, ‘Healthy’ will form a major part of our work ❤️#childrensmentalhealthweek
Well done to the pupils who took to the mics at full council, to tell us what priorities we should focus on in the next part of our @UNICEF_uk Child Friendly City journey 🎤 This follows a 6 month consultation which asked 11,000 children for their views https://t.co/tCPoMElK4A

Productive meeting with @JanetDaby (Shadow Youth Justice Minister) yesterday on behalf of the @AssnYOTmanagers Able to raise the critical issues affecting our AYM members leading Youth Justice Services, and also highlight the positive work that is taking place nationally.
Great to meet and talk with @JacquiBS, chair of @AssnYOTmanagers earlier today. The work of Youth Offending Teams is vital to help children and young people stay away from crime. I was therefore pleased to discuss the key issues impacting their work.

We all use them but they're often confusing, outdated, with multiple meanings: Acronyms! Week 2 of the Manchester City induction - time for a quiz featuring acronyms from Youth Justice, Social Care, Health, Education, and Police. Test your knowledge with these: EWO, CID, LAC.
