Good article on the US transition process. Not sure I'd draw the same conclusions tho, rather than imitate the US in hiring overt partisans, it may be better for us to experiment with other forms of interchange that don't penalize folks in moving between public and other sectors.

One project identified is developing a digital identity, based on digital wallet tech. Starting Jan 2021, ON will consult industry on how to introduce a secure digital identity for Ontarians by end of 2021, allowing citizens to verify their identity, online or in person.
