On behalf of the farmers of Hithadhoo whose farms are at risk of being destroyed, we formally request the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare, Dr Maryam Mariya to intervene at the earliest to stop a decision that would have major implications on Addu’s food security.

This project has been approved by @EPAMaldives . Why did the agency not ask @AdduCityCouncil to do an EIA?. The affected area would definitely not be just that of the road. What about the entire part of the wetland being sectioned off?.Are these mitigation measures enough?
