Only start reading "The Names" by Florence Knapp if you have nothing else to do until you have finished the book. Astonishing debut novel. If you liked "Sliding Doors," you will LOVE this.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM: @_bridgetheatre ."this revival lacks the energy of the (2019) production"."An audience full of children seeming to “get” the story. is a good thing. Older teens at the interval remarking “it’s amazing” is even better".3* opinion

Fun moment @_bridgetheatre this afternoon. Lily Simpkiss as Helena, bewailing her ugliness. Little girl’s voice from the promenade audience pipes up, “you’re not.” A pointed finger and “I really am” was the best laugh of the show, and superb quick thinking.

Apparently this 1 in / 1 out thing has a side bonus of a free French student to replace each one getting shot in "Les Miserables" every night. Can't say fairer than that.
