The Bridge 7 years ago! It's been an extraordinary journey so far and we couldn't have done it without the support and encouragement of our wonderful audience members❤️

It's our 7th birthday🎉 It's been a wild seven years, filled with amazing achievements, millions of audience members passing through our doors, and of course, some excellent theatre. To celebrate, here are some of our favourite Bridge Theatre memories❤️

Seeing Cuban salsa represented in such an acclaimed London production is something I’m deeply proud of. The show has been embraced by the salsa and Latin community, who are thrilled to see this authentic representation on such a prestigious stage." (8/8)

Additionally, some of the movements pay homage to legendary figures within the salsa world, and having these gestures live on through the show is particularly special to me and the community. (7/8)

Incorporating rueda into the production has been a powerful symbol for the salsa community. It's the first time we've seen rueda, a social dance at the heart of Cuban salsa, applied to a musical of this scale. (6/8)

I guided the cast not only through the movements but also through the history, roots, and cultural significance, enabling them to bring the true essence of Cuba to life on stage. (5/8)

It was an honour to be part of the creative process, working alongside icons like Dame Arlene Phillips and James Cousins. Having collaborated with them before, they trusted my expertise and allowed me the creative freedom to authentically weave Cuban salsa into the show. (4/8)

This fusion of African drum patterns, spirituality, and European melodies became a revolutionary force in both dance and music. Salsa is not only a celebration of Afro-Cuban identity but a tribute to the African people’s enduring influence that continues to inspire today. (3/8)
