4,289 healthy first-degree relatives of CD patients from the Crohn's and Colitis Canada - GEM) project were followed a median 5.62 years, among which 86 developed CD. We discovered environmental variables associated with the risk of disease, including 2/8.

New data from The GEM Project: led by @MingyueXue et al, published in CGH. This study identifies environmental variables associated with the future risk of Crohn’s Disease, the pathogenic mechanism of which can potentially be explained by some identified CD-risk biomarkers. 1/8.
