There are currently 2 active COVID-19 cases on campus. 70% of all students have been vaccinated. To date, Davidson has conducted over 77,000 COVID-19 tests.

The COVID response team cites the 5 positive cases on campus, unknown levels of student vaccination, and the desire to keep seniors out of quarantine for commencement as reason for their decision.

This comes after North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper announced today that the state’s outdoor masking requirement would end on April 30.
Today I am announcing that North Carolina will cautiously ease some restrictions starting Friday, April 30. Masks will no longer be mandated outdoors. Mass gathering limits will increase to 100 people indoors and 200 outdoors.
