Until Amorim's appointment, missing the top 4 was largely the barometer of failure for a Manchester United manager. In the past 5 years they've had 3 top-3 finishes. The change in tone and drop in standards in the past year is astonishing. Results are an unmitigated disaster.

1 win in our last 15 league games against non-promoted sides says all you need to know about Amorim. Same issues every game no matter who plays and he doesn't know how to play any other way. Way out of his depth in the Premier League.

Amorim has done very little to show that he is the right man for the job unfortunately. The statistics are absolutely shocking. You would think these status would belong to a related team. Something has to change quickly.

Well, there is every chance that I’m wrong, and of course Manchester United weren’t expected to win or have the conditions to win that game barring a fortuitous spiral of events, but that very much felt like the start of what comes in the final pages of every book ever written.

Feels horrible watching another manager go this route but doubt Amorim survives this if we lose against Chelsea as well. It’s all crumbling around the club…

Since MD12 of 2024-25 (Ruben Amorim's first game in charge of Man Utd), no ever-present Premier League team have performed worse than Manchester United (31 points from 31 games, -13 goal difference).

I can’t name a single player who had a good game today. When this happens that’s on the system and manager.

Amorim is on thin ice.

I have always supported the manager because I feel that United are a huge mess and it takes time to sort it out. However, we just don’t score enough goals under Amorim. Every game is an uphill task. There is no ruthlessness. Amorim hasn’t stepped up to the test yet.

Amorim needs to understand that he will have to step up big time if we wishes to stay in this job beyond this season. Such performances are unacceptable.

The manager and players will be rightly critiqued today. This performance is unacceptable for the occasion and you can never let your opponent walk over you. I don’t mind losing. However, you cannot put in less effort than a Manchester City player when playing in a derby.

It’s always one step forward and two steps backwards.

We always start well but lose our way after conceding. My only concern is that why don’t we convert our chances when we are on top of the game? Every game doesn’t have to be an uphill task. This game is sadly not any different. Big second half coming up.
