71% of 3622 patients responding to the 2021 Sjogren's Foundation survey listed muscle pain as a symptom. This is a core Sjogren's feature, often misattributed to fibromyalgia. Sjogen's is as prevalent as RA, but massively underdiagnosed because of a lack of clinician awareness.

Love to see beans elevated! But, sorry to see dairy go. 🥲For those who enjoy & tolerate it, it’s a great source of nutrients & protein, especially Greek yogurt & cottage cheese. It’s also much better than most plant based milks (except soy) in terms of protein & gums/additives.

See this thread. Sjogrens is never just dryness. Expecting dryness or even SSA means that many patients are missed, especially those with Neuro presentations.
🚨🤯 Severe motor neuropathy with limb weakness is often Sjogrens. But its not commonly recognized bc 1) >50% of pts w Sj motor PN are SSA negative 2) Neuro 1st Sjogrens pts frequently lack sicca 3) Sj motor PN r often in Neuro clinics as idiopathic or as CIDP. #medtwitter

People with Sjogren’s rarely seek diagnosis because of sicca. They want to know why they have flu-like symptoms, neuropathy, profound fatigue, lightheadedness. Sjögrens is never just dryness. It is a serious, multisystem disease. Dysautonomia is a major reason for ⬇️⬇️ QOL.
Sjogren’s is an autoimmune disease that commonly causes dry eyes and dry mouth, along with many other symptoms. While there is no cure for Sjögren’s, treatments are available to minimize symptoms and reduce the risk of complications. #31DaysofDys
