Not sure if I have any followers from the UK, but, in case I do, allow me to recommend to you this excellent book written a century ago by a prophet of your own. Highly relevant to what you're going through right now.

No minister anywhere is indispensable to the kingdom, and and every minister should have the good of Christ's church as his top priority, not his own job security. 3/3.

Being a pastor is a calling that I hold from God on behalf of the people He has given for me to minister to. If I ever cease to meet the biblical qualifications, I will step down for the good of Christ's church. This would include if any of my children apostatized. 2/.

I love being a pastor and want to be one for the rest of my life. But that is not owed to me. Being a pastor is not a career or just another means of making money. I earned a living before I became a pastor, and I could earn a living still if I ceased to be a pastor. 1/.

buddhism and christianity both present their cosmic situation as extremely important, and emphasize that the individual is lucky to have this small fleeting time to act - but many or most figures in buddhism are chill. who is “chill” in christianity? some saints? odd observation.

Someone can want his nation to be Christian without being a Christian Nationalist. Someone can promote Nationalism without being a Christian. Christian Nationalism is both. 2/2.

Just so we have clear definitions: someone who calls himself a Christian Nationalist should be both:. Christian (as opposed to secular, "neutral", pluralistic, etc.). and. Nationalist (as opposed to globalist, cosmopolitan, multiculturalist, etc.). 1/.

The obvious question should be "what changed about our society to bring about the current state?" Once that is answered the goal for our government should be to use the power at its disposal to restore what was lost instead of moving forward with what everyone agrees is worse.3/3.

The problem with both liberals and conservatives is that they'll say society has changed from what it used to be and it's no longer as safe or unified as it once was. But then they just take that as a brute fact and base their policies on how to get along in this "new world". 2/.

Along these same lines, I remember during the campaign last year Tim Walz said something along the lines of the fact that he grew up in the world where kids could ride their bikes all over town and parents didn't have to worry, but that world doesn't exist anymore. 1/.

Guns have been a near constant in American society. So, the question is, what variable(s) are responsible for the mass school shootings of the last 26 years and how can we address *those* things?. 4/4.

Now take the case of school shootings. Mass school shootings didn't take off until after Columbine in 1999. However gun ownership was already on the decline by that point. Guns were not suddenly introduced in 1999. 3/

Of course, you would logically suspect the seasoning. That's the variable that has changed. The soup has remained constant. 2/.

If a restaurant has been serving soup for years and everyone was fine but then they started putting a new kind of seasoning in the soup and folks started dying, what would you suspect as the cause: the soup or the seasoning? . 1/.
