The federal government claims its enforcement actions make us safer. It doesn’t. It’s a reckless, lawless campaign terrorizing our cities and it has now cost another life. San Diego condemns it, and we will never accept this as normal.

This is what happened. To be clear, I’ve been in direct contact with Blue and Tasha. I met with them all literally last week. The Mayor has signed an executive order directing SDPD to not participate in ICE operations. We are not the enemy.
