Have a read of a mums experience when her infant developed a cranial deformity. #tummy time is so important to prevent this. That's why we are #5cmthick and have #multisensorytoys on the face of our mat! #babyplaymat #paddedplaymat #preventflatheadsyndrome https://t.co/4aSL1nqzI6

How can we progress discussions of health equities and inequities? What words need specific, universally understood definitions to affect discourse and change? #NotOnMyWatch @AWHONN

@AWHONN #notonmywatch the belief that WOC are dying because of comorbidities took our focus away from the truth of racism as the most impactful culprit of maternal mortality

Structural racism. Institutional racism. Lack of diversity in the healthcare workforce. We are taught that "being black" is a risk factor, when really, "experiencing racism" is the risk factor. #notonmywatch

That’s the thing. It’s not just overt racism that kills, its the internalized race-based assumptions and biases. Some are conscious, some not. If it can happen to the GOAT, imagine what happens to an avg woman needing help. #NotOnMyWatch

Health providers may not explicitly be drawing on racial narratives, but they've been socialized to think about Black women in specific ways that implicitly and explicitly allow them to misdiagnose or underestimate pain levels, says @RRHDr https://t.co/1cOHrzv2Tv   #NotOnMyWatch
