If I’m the Cowboys, I’m bringing Gilmore back another year. He has played really well and I think his leadership and mentorship has been big.
I want a full season of Diggs, Gilmore and Bland.
I’m still convinced the Cowboys are going to win the Super Bowl like 21-17. When that happens there will be a large segment of Cowboys fans with their first reaction as:
“This offense needs to get fixed quick. No way we can win anything next year if they keep playing like this.”
I have witnessed 49ers fans going to war this week defending Jimmy Garoppolo.
Meanwhile a large portion of Cowboys twitter thinks Dak sucks and want to get rid of him.
You can’t make this stuff up.
You can see Dak Prescott confirming with the official that
#71
declared as an eligible receiver.
Illegal formation penalty still thrown. Wiping away a touchdown.
10 years of 2nd round picks
22: Sam Williams
21: Kelvin Joseph
20: Trevon Diggs
19: Trysten Hill
18: Connor Williams
17: Chidobe Awuzie
16: Jaylon Smith
15: Randy Gregory
14: Demarcus Lawrence
13: Gavin Escobar
But we sitting here clutches our pearls at trading that pick…
I need to apologize to Mr. Leighton Vander Esch.
I said in a Twitter space last week that he was playing scared and avoiding contact.
Well this week he was throwing his body around with reckless abandonment. Outstanding game from him and hope to see more like it.
Cowboys fans wanted Nakobe Dean in the 2nd round. Instead we got Damone Clark in the 5th due to his injury.
Despite missing the first 7 games, Clark already has more defensive snaps on the year than Dean (40 vs 3)
It will be interesting to watch their career trajectories.
If you watched the game and came away thinking Cooper Rush needs to stay the starting QB, I have to question your football knowledge.
Rush has played commendable, but the offense is limited with him at QB.
2019: Chiefs
7-4 after 11 games and lost 3 of 4 in the middle of the season.
2020: Bucs
7-5 after 12 games and lost 3 of 4 in the middle of the season.
Not saying this means the Cowboys will win, just means this stretch doesn’t mean they are not good enough.
The most impressive things that jump off of Trevon Diggs’ tape…
1. Great Athleticism and RARE Ball skills.
2. Great anticipation.
3. Great formation recognition. (Splits)
4. Situational awareness (D&D)
5. CONFIDENCE!

At first glance, I thought this was a bad call, but after going back and looking, it was the right call.
This is OPI 100% of the time as Shepard targets Diggs on the pick.
Y’all twitter haters so inconsistent. Dak is terrible. Dak can’t work with Cooper, Cooper isn’t that good, Lamb can’t be a
#1
, Zeke is washed and not good anymore, Moore is awful and can’t scheme for his players
Cowboys 2021 offense:
PPG: 1st
YPG: 1st
People just love to hate on Trevon Diggs and just make up narratives.
This narrative that top CBs don’t get targeted in today’s NFL is strange and completely false.
Diggs: 99 targets
Marshon Lattimore: 97 targets
JC Jackson: 96 targets
Jalen Ramsey: 86 targets
James Washington is a lot better than people think and I believe he will prove it. He was misused in Pittsburgh with noodle arm Ben and Mason Rudolph throwing the ball.
Lions have arguably the best offensive line in football. Coming into the game, they had given up 7 total sacks through 5 games. Best in the league.
Cowboys defense sacked Goff 4 times yesterday.
I have no evidence to back this up, just my opinion.
It feels like the Cowboys made their draft selections 2-3 weeks ago and it didn’t matter to them who fell.
Dak calling Tolbert a couple days ago kind of strengthens this thought.
Cowboys FS Damontae Kazee wasn’t fined for his fourth-quarter hit Sunday on Panthers TE Tommy Tremble, source said. Open-field hits that forceful are difficult real-time calls for officials, but NFL determined the shoulder-first collision was clean.
Bad team management 101:
Release two of your best players at highly important positions in order to save money to franchise tag easily replaceable player at less important position.
Y’all got to stop letting Dak off the hook for that playoff game.
Dak didn’t force a single turnover by the 49ers and didn’t have a single tackle while the 49ers ran for 169 yards on them.
It was like he wasn’t even on the field for the defense at all.
Here is the thing about this play. I get people saying Dak should have come off this read or should have never thrown it.
But y’all do realize that QBs will throw at the WR in these situations to draw attention to the foul right? It should have been hands to the face or DPI.
I think it’s time the NFL starts making
@NFLOfficiating
answer for their terrible decisions. Players and coaches literally lose their jobs because of these terrible calls.
Refs need to be fined throughout the year and possibly let go if it’s a continual problem.
Unless the Cowboys play perfect football and win by 20+ points, this fanbase will not be happy and will nitpick the hell out of the game.
Enjoy the win and mini bye. On to Washington.

“Dak is bailing on his reads too quickly. Why isn’t he standing in there and making the throw?”
Why Dak isn’t standing in there making the throw.

Cowboys RB Zeke Elliott on COVID-19 protocols: You got to protect yourself. You got to wear your mask. You got to make sure you’re going through all the protocols. You got to make sure you’re not putting yourself in any vulnerable situations.
The Cowboys just had a strong season where they could compete with anyone. It didn’t work out and the front office response has been to blow it all up.
You can’t make this stuff up.
I honestly don’t get some people’s love affair with Dinucci. I’m not sure I’ve seen worse QB play at the NFL level and that’s saying something with the QBs the Cowboys went through between Aikman and Romo.
People talk about Devin White’s speed at LB and rightfully so. A LB who is 6’0 237 lbs and runs a 4.42 is impressive.
But Parsons is 6’3 246 lbs and ran a 4.39.
If the DLine can keep Parson clean, man the dude is going to be flying around the field.
I am seeing this a lot lately: “why can’t we criticize Dak?”
You 100% can criticize Dak, just provide proper context. Just saying “he has been off” or “he needs to do more” doesn’t tell us anything.
Then, make sure you are holding him to the same standard as the other QBs.
I’m calling it right now. The Cowboys are going to have a hot start to this year and be like 8-1 or 7-2 and the narrative on Dak is going to swing back to he isn’t good because he isn’t putting up insane numbers.
Interested teams have done homework on Deshaun Watson’s legal situation. The NFL hasn’t placed him on the exempt list and the civil cases won’t go to trial this year. If a team gets comfortable with that piece, it’s a rare opportunity to acquire one of the NFL’s best young QBs.
2019 Chiefs: Signed Mathieu and traded for Reggie Ragland and Frank Clark.
2020 Bucs: Signed Tom Brady and Antonio Brown and traded to Gronk.
2021 Rams: Signed OBJ and traded for Matthew Stafford and Von Miller.
Teams that want to win make moves outside the draft. Period.
I don’t think people realize how close this Cowboys team was to starting the year 2-0.
That’s with going against two playoff contender teams in the Bucs and Chargers. Both games on the road.
There are Cowboys fans on this app who don’t want Dak to play for the sole reason they can say “I told you so”. Miss me with that.
I still think he plays, just my opinion from what I’ve been told.

all I can think is i wish our offense played as well as the Cardin… wait.. I mean as well as the Patri… no, no I mean as well as the Bucca… nevermind.
Can someone let me know how this is scored? Micah didn’t get a sack or a TFL on this play.
I’m assuming he didn’t get a sack since it was outside the tackle box, but why no TFL?
Diggs Island is different than Revis Island.
You couldn’t go to Revis Island.
You can go to Diggs Island, you’re just not returning with your possessions.
Said this last night on the Late Night Cowboys Talk space.
If the Cowboys were still 10-4 and had won and lost all the same games, but it was the offense playing amazing and the defense struggling to keep up.
Would
#CowboysNation
still be freaking out this much?
If the Cowboys do not fire McCarthy and go get a young innovative play caller like Ben Johnson or Bobby Slowik…
Just prepare yourself for the same story again next year, nothing will change.
Demarcus Lawrence after restructuring his contract to create cap room and watching the Cowboys lose Randy Gregory, cut La’el Collins and not having signed a single outside free agent.
I love how when he said Dak wasn’t a top 10 QB everyone else at the table looked like they didn’t want to be seen with him. Welcome to Skip Bayless level analysis.
