So, Jurassic Park - the first movie, is interesting after not watching it for so long. Aged well, but I have to admit there were certain portions of it that quite literally made me cringe. Noticed a few "holes" between shots too that I'm surprised I didn't notice far sooner.

For those that may be interested. I finished reading a book (for the second time) called "Designing the Mind". I wrote a review about it on my website https://t.co/4C2SWVH7hv

If you use #zsh in your terminal, and use #python with virtual environments, you may find https://t.co/wzS9Y1JoP9 useful. Took some inspiration over how a poetry plugin was doing it, and decided something similar for me. Most of my work is using pyenv-virtualenv, and this saves

I decided to write a blog article today (link: https://t.co/XA695a3UE1) regarding the #AI summarization of books. I'm a pretty avid reader, and enjoy reading a lot. Trying to retain everything I read is hard. I have to admit, areas such as #langchain have been invaluable for

Piano Marvel (@pianomarvel) is a nice piece of software for learning how to play the #piano. I like the "Practice Streak Rank" screen in helping ensure daily practice. This is a screenshot from yesterday's practice session. Shout out to Attila S (whoever that is) for sticking

Proven Industries is an interesting company. For those not aware, they're suing Trevor McNally over the fact he can shim their locks. Shimming locks is a form of #lockpicking In my opinion, their claims are quite garbage. I also think the way they're approaching this problem

I so much wish news articles were...a bit more useful. Take for example: https://t.co/Hp2D8MCIpi The headline states that @elonmusk is criticizing the bill. I wanted to see details (e.g. how the bill increases the deficit). In the article, it has a quote, then goes into DOGE
cnbc.com
Musk criticized President Donald Trump's signature spending bill that recently passed the House.

The following video is really quite good: https://t.co/TBbjhaDakZ I see a good number of people complaining about Bill Maher meeting with Trump. I'm glad he did it. Demonizing one side, and closing all forms of communication is a real problem. We need far more of this. It

I see a common fallacy going on that I feel needs to be clarified about the election. That way, I can paste it as links into replies and people get it. A lot of people are talking about the "numbers not adding up" when it comes to the popular vote in determining the presidency.

I think @PeteButtigieg and @POTUS's recent posts are a good indication of the need for "Critical Thinking", and the need for it in the populace. First, Biden's infographic that's worth also seeing (also pasted below): https://t.co/SJl70rQhCb I looked at the infographic itself,
It’s infuriating when it’s practically impossible to cancel something - gym membership, magazine subscription - that was so easy to sign up for. Seeing the FTC put an end to that is one more reason I’m thankful for the Biden-Harris administration.

I believe the media doesn't quite understand the criticism aimed at them. The following article, about @elonmusk demonstrates this: https://t.co/mu2L0CVc4e In part of this article by the @TheAtlantic The relevant parts I want to address are below: "None of that mattered to

This is a really interesting post thread. It'll take a bit to get through it all, but the idea of AI consciousness has come up in the past, and sometime we as people will see it happen. How humanity deals with, essentially, a new life form will be very interesting.
The AI Mirror Test The "mirror test" is a classic test used to gauge whether animals are self-aware. I devised a version of it to test for self-awareness in multimodal AI. 4 of 5 AI that I tested passed, exhibiting apparent self-awareness as the test unfolded. In the classic

This is a really important read. I know a lot of people think "TikTok bad", but there's a lot here that expands far further than TikTok specifically. I'm not a user of the site, but this is a huge problem. What also worries me is how this will eventually apply to not only ISPs
WHAT'S IN THE TIKTOK BILL? I've read H.R. 7521 (the "TikTok bill") carefully. Here's a summary of the operative provisions: (1) The bill prohibits "foreign adversary controlled applications" from operating in the U.S. The prohibition applies not just to the app itself but to
