I've never played a "balanced" wargame that captured my attention for long. The interesting thing about military scenarios is that they are usually skewed in favor of one side of another. That's where all the "fun" in playing them at a table comes from for me.

As much as I love design and have become better and better at it my primary love will always be writing. It's a craft I've developed since I was old enough to sit, at the time, in front of a typewriter. I try to generally be honest but being entertaining is always primary.

I think it's important to understand that what I do online and with my design is more concerned with games themselves, and how they are made, and how to make them good. I've come a LONG way in this process over just the past couple of years and it has been entirely fascinating.

Another thing I love about Battletech is that it encourages and even teaches kit-bashing, making terrain, and making counters in lieu of owning actual mechs. It just has an attitude that seems so unconcerned with monetization, whether or not that is actually true.

Battletech on PC is good. It has problems. I am hoping that installing the Advanced Universe mod will solve those problems, and everything I've seen says it will, while increasing the difficulty substantially at the same time, which is what I think it needs.

Eventually I'll do a write-up on Battletech. It's truly an amazing game that stands like a reinforced obelisk in a sea of games constantly chasing balance and restructuring themselves. It's clunky, and dense, it can be taken to insane levels of depth. It's perfectly imperfect

Battletech has my favorite rulebook I've ever seen for a game in Total Warfare. It has no unnecessary bullshit, it represents a wide range of eras of the game through photos and lore blips, and it just gets to the fucking point and gives you all the rules in a single source.

It's so crazy. For my birthday I'm taking my mom to see Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. I was 17 when we first saw Kill Bill Part 1 in theater. I will be 40 when we see this new cut.

I've been addicted to Battletech. I set up my mural software to play it on there. I have a ring that is a fidget spinner with 2D6 on it so I cna play it on my second monitor all night. Because I'm a fucking loser.

My wife while I'm watching Ha Ha, You Clowns: "I don't get it. Nothing happens the entire show." Me: "Yes."

Ringworlds allow you to trade with the Melnorme on specific rounds. Rainbow Worlds give you an abundance of wealth to trade with Melnorme, but their locations are random - half the tiles are false.

I'm glad I'm working because my days off were basically this and Battletech on PC. I put like 15 hours into that shit over 5 days which is a lot for me for video games and made me feel like a huge piece of shit

This is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Power. I hated this game as a kid. Because it sucked. I'm tempted to buy this copy and make my friend who is a big TMNT fan suffer with me while we share a bottle of rye and fight eachother instead out of sheer agonized boredom.

That's awesome. Ive been wanting to see it as a single film since the day I saw the first one in theaters.
The first trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s ‘KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR’ has been released. • Will include a never-before-seen 7-minute animated sequence • Select presentations will be in 70mm and 35mm • In theaters on December 5

Some tiles you flip have an enemy icon printed on them. That determines when a battle is initiated. You have ship cards you draw from that aliens pile and you need to use your fleet deck to defeat them. You build this deck as you go by making allies and upgrading the flagship
