I read this tweet over and over, and I am intrigued as to how you come up with this argument?.
Halle Berry, a household name, was supposed to take time away from her breadwinning career to “cook and clean” for a man I’ve never heard of?! LMAOOOO! According to their net worths, he needed to be the one throwing the apron on and cleaning the house too.

It was dangerous and scandalous when Paul told it to the Romans, and I am very happy that it causes eye brows to rise in disbelief today. What we have received is not ordinary. It is in fact beyond comprehension. This gift causes humility, and gives us the power to change.
The most dangerous thing about modern Christianity is the “There’s no condemnation in Christ” narrative. So no form of immorality is bad to them. No matter how grievous what’s done is, they defend it in Christ. They tell you as long you’re ‘saved’/a believer, otilo!.

Had this elaborate conversation with my friend after church today. Suffering of this nature widens your emotional and spiritual capacity for difficulty. This is a great gift if we have truly surrendered our own reputation and meager need to be seen perfectly. A rare gift.
This tweet made me happy. I talk about our theology of suffering a lot to my friends, it’s one of the things with taking up the cross, we need to start understanding what it means to suffer.
