Bob Dylan said, "Ya gotta serve somebody." Translation: No one is really free. You have to live for something and whatever is the meaning of your life is the Lord of your Life.

The image of God and 'common grace' means non-Christians are never as bad as their wrong beliefs would otherwise make them; Remaining sin means Christians are never as good as their right beliefs should make them. So Christians should not act and feel as superior as many do.

The gospel gives you freedom to admit who you are when the information comes, to see where you do need to change, the freedom to know yourself. – @timkellernyc Sermon, Mortification Through Joy https://t.co/uSGCKgtLVY

The sabbath is about restoring the diminished. It's about replenishing the drained. It's about repairing the broken. It's NOT just an off day.

Books you should read: #4 Christopher Watkin-Thinking through Creation: Gen 1-2 as Tools of Cultural Critique. This is a remarkable book, from a top flight expert in post-structuralist French philosophy-meaning he understands our current cultural context. https://t.co/8zb2NjSxwR
