Hon. Hector Appuhamy, Sri Lanka’s Member of Parliament, commenced the activity by reinstating commitment of the country to implement its #ClimateProsperityPlan.

The dialogue serves as a platform to discuss potential enhancements in Sri Lanka’s #ClimateProsperityPlan by identifying effective legal provisions, institutional commitments, and sustainable financing.

CVF Sec-Gen @MohamedNasheed met with H.E. Hiroshi Yoshimoto, Ambassador of Japan to Ghana, to discuss potential areas of collaboration, including capacity building initiatives, support for @TheGlobalShield, and mobilizing investments for #ClimateProsperityPlans.

"Global energy investment is set to increase in 2025 to a record $3.3 trillion despite headwinds from elevated geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty" .

As rising temperatures increase health challenges, the CVF-V20 is advocating for the integration of health concerns into climate action plans. The increase in vector borne diseases, the consequences of heat stress and the impact to mental health are key health priorities.
