I am very proud to announce that I have been appointed as a deputy district judge on the Wales Circuit in the civil jurisdiction. It is an honour to be given the opportunity to serve the public in this way. I will still continue to accept instructions as counsel as normal.

Thanks to everyone who came to our Cardiff event last night. There was real enthusiasm in the room & we’re excited to follow up the conversations, building on work led by our caseworker Stephen in Wales. Thanks too to our panel for making time in busy diaries to discuss pro bono.

QOCS Protection lost in relation to agreed damages, including Part 36, and defendants' costs can be set off against claimant costs. Ho and Cartwright overturned. This applies to claims issued from 6 April 2023. The new rule is here.
