In 2012, I started The Frustrated Indian (TFI), during a time when internet penetration was minimal, and social media wasn’t the place to discuss politics. Looking back, I feel immense pride and amazement at how TFI pioneered this space. It became a crucible for discourse, where

That’s correct. Hence one should not read Mrutyunjay or any modern text without reading Vyasa Mahabharata first, otherwise he will stay misinformed for all of his life.
@TheAtulMishra You just can't ignore Karna once you read Mrutyunjay.

The @ATGUSAMade Buddy Sled is a specific solution I kneeded for a school I’ve been helping. For my own workouts, I use the resisted treadmill - and all my shoes and equipment are on sale for the holidays! This video also covers the history of sled dragging:

This person has a remarkable habit of quoting selectively, just enough to hide his anti-Arjun / anti-Pandava bias. I’m quoting him only so that people understand the context clearly. Normally I just ignore him. Why Jayadrath was able to hold Pandavas at the gate of the Vyuh?
@TheAtulMishra Pandavas including Abhimanyu knew what lay inside Chakravyuha . Warriors were positioned inside. It was supposed to be Pandavas versus the rest . If Jayadratha managed to hold Ps , it’s their fault only. We can’t expect other warriors to remain silent when Abhi is killing. Fair

Absolutely. Bheem was an absolute terror on the battlefield. Chariot, Foot soldiers, Elephants, archers, swordsmen, Pikemen- he couldn't care less. His only Dharma was CRUSH them ALL.
@TheAtulMishra Bheemasena Had no confusion about kauravas, he was redpilled about their intentions from childhood. Bheemasena had internalized geetopadesha without krishna paramatma giving him upadesha . He was very clear about his dharma yudhdha .

Fantastic take.
@TheAtulMishra My favourite mahabharata character is draupadi. She is the most patient, most tolerant, most respectful, most feminine, most warm. Draupadi is the pinnacle of acceptance. She can absorb everything. Positive/Negative. Yet always stays most human no matter what is thrown at her.

Ghatotkach - the king of night wars. Kauravas would wet their Dhotis upon seeing him. Kauravas' own Rakshas warrior Alambusha (Brother of Baka) was not match to him. Ghatotkach made a chutney out of him and of course forced Karna to use his Vasav Shakti.
@TheAtulMishra Ghatotkach Wrecked havoc on kaurava army, reduced their army strength and bought them to the as that on Pandavas Forced karna to use divyastra , even in his death he killed one akshohini army by the shear impact of his fall. And it was not his war to begin with

@TheAtulMishra None other than Arjuna. The dearest to Paramathma that he has given him the enlightenment of vishwaroopam, rode his chariot and recited Geetha. His excellence to defeat gandharvas and every maharathas like bishma, krupa, karna, drona in Uattara go grahana.

@TheAtulMishra My take is Arjuna but not for his skills. It's the time when Arjuna had to choose between Krishna and his sena. Remind you Pandavas had fewer numbers compared to kauravas. Adding Narayani sena would be a no brainer. But he knew what to choose! Fate of war was decided there!

@TheAtulMishra Not one but three, and all are women, Satyavati, Kunti and Draupadi. They did not bow down to what was expected of them, they had desires and they stood by the desires, the men around them had to comply. If not for them there would be no Mahabharata.

Again. Barbarik was not a part of Vyasa Mahabharata. More of a Danta Katha or Legend.
@TheAtulMishra Barbarik : He had the power to finish 18 days of War in just 3 Arrows, but he did not. He donated his head. A Head that was placed at a vantage point to watch the whole War. And today he is revered as Khaatu Shyam Baba.

@TheAtulMishra Abhimanyu At 16, he showed more courage than armies twice his age.Abhimanyu knew he wouldn’t come back from the Chakravyuh. He still went in not for glory, not for fame, but because that’s what warriors do when duty calls. That’s courage.Abhimanyu is a True MVP

I’ll do a thread that lists the exploits of characters apart from main line.
@TheAtulMishra Can we talk about the other stories apart from main characters , like the stories which inspired Pandav in Vanvas - Nalopakhyana and Savitri Satyavan , Baki Prabhu Shri Krishna se badhkar to koi nahi

Any list ranking warriors from Mahabharata should always have Arjun right at the top. If it does not, don’t read the list. Because it’s simply figment of someone’s imagination.
@TheAtulMishra Arjuna, he became the greatest warrior by his dedication, hardwork, and finding the right Guru's at the right time( Drona, Shiv, Indra, Krishna etc). Even after all this power he was kind towards the Kaurava army, he could have ended the war in a day.

Vidura had stopped the war on multiple occasions, right from coronation scuffle during Pandu’s time to Duryodhan’s birth to Udyog Parva to Shri Krishna’s arrival in Hastinapur with Shanti Prastav. But of course it was not in his Prarabdh to stop the war.
@TheAtulMishra Vidur As the half-brother of Dhritarashtra and Pandu, he remained a neutral and respected figure who was loyal only to dharma, making him a truly formidable and strong character in a moral sense

@TheAtulMishra 😂🤣😂 Actually Karna is still my favourite - more like a life lesson of how not to be a wannabe good guy...

Good answer but you’re underplaying his prowess. On all 12 days he was basically unstoppable. Bheeshm had a duel with him and he had to retreat. Jayadrath was basically turned into living joke by Abhimanyu. On Day 13, He defeated Duryodhan, Karna, Ashwatthama, Shalya, Drona,
@TheAtulMishra Abhimanyu. Broke the Chakravyuh, fought some of the greatest warriors, till his last breath. Knew his death was certain but still follows his Kshatriya Dharma. Courage and Duty, a perfect role model for the Youth.

Not a Mahabharata character. But good story.
@TheAtulMishra After Shri Krishna,it's Barbarik aka Khatu shyam ji..He was the strongest of all , could have ended the war but sacrificed himself for a greater cause..

Thank you. Satyaki is massively underrated. He defeated most Kaurav Maharathis. And his superhuman feats on Day 14 were unparalleled.
@TheAtulMishra Satyaki— valiant kinsman of Shri Krishna who was trained under Dronacharya & Arjuna. He was loyal yet independent, fierce yet principled. A warrior who fought for Dharma, against his counterparts like Bhurishrava, Bhishma, Dronacharya, and Karna. An Unsung Hero par excellence. 🕉️
